Bluestone Energy are a UK leader in the development of renewable technologies. Their aim is to support the global target of net zero carbon and creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable world for people to exist. With a current focus on B2B strategy, Bluestone had a prior logo design which was “rather crude and unestablished” (in their own words).
The company contacted me to fulfil a complete rebrand for the business, which would help them to reach their goals of connecting with the ‘energy giants’ in the uk and achieve success with larger projects. This needed to be a robust brand package as it would be used across their printed and digital media.
I was very pleased to find out, during initial discussions that the client were completely open to a range of concepts and ideas for this project. The inspiration board helped to pinpoint a contemporary, bold and bright style. The difficulty with this branding would be successfully integrating the prevailing industry style, whilst striking a balance between conformity and uniqueness.
One element that was set by the client, was their preference of a sans serif typeface, apart from this we had room to explore…
When presenting initial concepts to the client, they were very pleased with the idea of the gold star-like icon as an abstract depiction of electricity and energy. They were immediately drawn to this option, through further development and dovetailing of ideas we finalised a well-balanced branding which fitted their needs.
The client was very happy with this final outcome and felt it gave them a platform to grow within their sector. They have since seen large expansion and a number of new, larger projects developing with leading companies from across the UK.
